Hawaii wins the 2012 Girls’ Junior America’s Cup with a final three round score of 648! Southern California finished 2nd with a score of 649 followed by Mexico with 658.

Following today’s final round was the traditional GJAC closing ceremony which featured the18 teams gathered below the Wailea Golf Club putting green, each holding their state flag.  The competition then came to an official close with the lowering of the GJAC flag by Washington’s Captain, Patty Curtiss who’s mother, Joan Curtiss Teats founded the tournament in 1978.

The HSJGA would like to extend its sincere Mahalo to all of the sponsors, volunteers and Wailea community for rallying around this extraordinary event.  None of this would have been possible without the support of all those involved.  Thank you to GJAC’s major sponsors: Wailea Golf Club, Aloha Section PGA, MC&A, Tihati, Hotel Wailea, Marriott, Liliha Bakery, Gannon’s, Pard & Betsy Erdman and HawaiiOnTV.
