Kaanapali Golf Courses is hosting the 2014 “Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational,” the first-ever collegiate event for the critically acclaimed resort, on November 7-9. Fourteen universities from across America will compete in the 54-hole, individual and team event played on the Royal Ka’anapali Course. Competing universities include: Hawaii-Manoa (host university), Georgia, Oregon, Gonzaga, North Florida, Bowling Green, California-Irvine, California State Northridge, Clemson, Kansas, Loyola Marymount, North Carolina Wilmington, Samford and Utah Valley State. “We are excited to bring this event to Ka’anapali Beach Resort,” says Ed Kageyama, General Manager of Ka’anapali Golf Courses. “This strong field will provide amazing competition and allow our local junior golfers to see college golf in action, inspiring them to develop their games for the next level.” Ka’anapali will also host a College-Am fundraising tournament on Thursday, November 6 to benefit the University of Hawaii Golf Team.
