The Hawaii State Junior Golf Association (HSJGA) completed its final event of the 2010 season at the 2010 Hali’imaile Pineapple Company Tournament of Champions at the beautiful Wailea Golf Club – Emerald Course this weekend on Maui.

Each year, the HSJGA culminates its season by inviting all champions to compete in an end of the year tournament sponsored by the Hali’imaile Pineapple Company.  It also serves as the last opportunity to earn points towards “HSJGA Player of the Year” in each age division.  Points determining “Player of the Year” will be calculated and announced shortly after the final round of the tournament.  The “Player of the Year” points will also be used to select players to participate in the Hyundai “Family Golf Day” in association with the PGA Tour’s Hyundai Tournament of Champions held at Kapalua on January 2, 2011, as well as the King Auto Skills Challenge the Tuesday of the Sony Open..  The juniors will get to play along PGA Tour Players and Celebrities in a team event in support of the HSJGA.  For more information visit the HSJGA website (www.HSJGA.org).

Mahalo to title sponsors Mr. and Mrs. C. Pardee Erdman, Jr. of Ulupalakua Ranch and the Hali’imaile Pineapple Company, as well as tournament host Wailea Golf Club for their generous sponsorships which allow the HSJGA to showcase many bright and talented young golfers!  Thank you also to Wally Uihlein, Chairman and CEO of Acushnet Company for sponsoring the tournament tee prizes, asd well as Mr. & Mrs. Alan Little for securing a lunch donation from Panda Express – Azeka.
