The stormy weather of late caused mudslides at Kahili and the course was temporarily forced to send golfers around the front nine twice. This pushed a lot of play over to the Dunes and elsewhere.
Dave Gleason was pleasantly surprised that his course, The Dunes, was getting some heavy play, but I know that’s not how he likes to win. Kahili’s problems have been fixed so that play on all 18-holes is now open again.
A quick call over to the pro shop revealed that the slide came from above the 12th hole and flowed down onto 11 and then the driving range. Some boulders were also in the mix.
But the worst of it has been cleared and play has resumed.
