Nobody (except maybe the PGA Tour) does it better than IMG. In their recap of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions’s history, they “take a look at some great moments in the history of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii, which includes top golf from the likes of Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson.”
It’s a great clip beginning with Arnie all in black and white back in 1962. Then it fast-forwards to Tom Watson some 20 years later. We see Lee Trevino, then Phil, then a replay of Tiger’s trounce at Carlsbad, when he hit that 6-iron to like 8″ on the first playoff hole, after Lehman dumped his tee shot into the drink…
Then we hear Tiger: “there’s no better pace than Kapalua… it was a lot of fun (as he recalls his 2000 final round close with Ernie Els): I bury, he buries… I make my putt, he makes his…”
Then we see Els finally celebrating his record-breaking win in 2003, and then it’s Mr. Stuart Appleby, whose three straight wins (2004-6) really raised the bar, and no one has ever come close to eclipsing that.
It’s all part of what IMG branded as “Golfing World.”
Here is their release on it:
